Harding lake has been stocked by the Alaska Department of Fish and Game since 1956. The lake has been stocked with Rainbow Trout, Coho Salmon, Artic Char, and Steelhead Trout. Other species found in the lake include Burbot, Salmon, Lake Trout, and Northern Pike. A public boat launch is also available to boaters and anglers. It is located in the Harding Lake State Recreational Area and is available for a fee.

*Pike fishing is currently closed on Harding Lake.
